I inked the layered flower stamp with white embossing powder and stamped it off center. Then I applied antique linen distress ink to the paper and then destressed the flower with Wild Honey and dried marigold. Then I stamped over the entire image with the antique background stamp and used tea dye distress ink. I used faded jeans distress ink to ink around the edges of the backing panel. My biology teacher is expecting a baby girl around September and her classes are throwing her a baby shower in school. We each have to get her a present and so on. I have a gift and a card but don't know what to write in the card other than 'Congratulations' and 'Best Wishes'.

is it considered poor etiquette to send a Congratulations on the New Baby card to a former colleague, but about 8 months after she had the baby? She lives in another town and I don't have her personal phone number, just her office phone and I don't want to call her at work.
I don't think it would exactly be poor etiquette, however, sending a card that specifically says "new baby" would call attention to how long you waited. I'm sure she would appreciate a card from you, but it might be less awkward if you picked a pretty card that was blank on the inside and just wrote a general catching-up note. You can include
