Powegians can tune up their patriotic pride with two July 4th events, the Old Fashioned Fourth at Old Poway Park and fireworks at Poway High School.
The Old Fashioned Fourth runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 14134 Midland Road with musical entertainment, free crafts for kids, a quilt display at Templar’s Hall and other activities for all ages.
Potato sack races, a sponge toss, a pie-eating contest with participants eating whipped topping in search of buried bubble gum are a sampling of the games.
